TIMELINE

 age 0.  eleanor emily bartlet is born to josiah and abigail bartlet in new hampshire, eight years after the birth of their first child elizabeth. josiah ‘jed’ is a economics professor and member of the new hampshire state house, abigail ‘abby’ is a doctor board certified in internal medicine and thoracic surgery age 5.  her little sister zoey is born. age 8.  her father receives a nobel peace prize for his research in economics and runs for the united states house of representatives age 14.  her father is elected governor of new hampshire. he goes on to serve two terms age 16.  her father is diagnosed with a relapsing/remitting course of MS age 18.  ellie goes to carnegie mellon university for pre med

 age 21.  her mother calls to let her know that jed is running for president, she later finds out from her sisters he asked them if it was okay. age 22.  ellie graduates from notre dame university and begins attending john hopkins. jed is elected president of the united states. age 24.  she approaches white house correspondent danny concannon, to defend her godmother, surgeon general millicent griffith, for her statements on marijuana. this leads to her and jed confronting their difficult relationship. age 26.  zoe is kidnapped. ellie completes her postgraduate degrees and joins dr lewis foy as a research fellow. age 27.  she is once again thrust into the limelight when research she assisted on about hpv is targeted by congresswoman barbara layton. age 30.  she comes out to her parents and introduces them to her now fiance, vic faison.
